About

Helping people find their way back to working together

Expansion Mediation was founded on a simple belief: most workplace and business conflict isn't a sign something is broken beyond repair — it's a sign a conversation is overdue.

My Background

For 25 years, I worked on critical environmental challenges across Africa and Asia — leading complex, multi-stakeholder projects where success depended less on technical expertise than on the ability to build trust across differences. Government officials, donors, and local communities rarely agreed on much at the outset; the work was to find where their interests overlapped, and hold that space long enough for something durable to get built.

That work taught me that consensus isn't found, it's made — through proactive dialogue, deep listening, and the ability to adapt when circumstances shift.

My Approach

I bring that same skill set into workplace conflict mediation. Organizational conflict and international development conflict aren't as different as they first appear: both involve people with real stakes, incomplete trust, and a shared need to keep functioning together after the disagreement ends. My practice combines mediation with a proven track record for navigating change, so resolutions don't just get reached — they hold.

In practice, that means facilitated, structured conversations that help parties identify the real issues, explore underlying interests, and negotiate mutually beneficial agreements. The goal isn't to eliminate differences, but to create conditions where everyone feels heard and respected — so the outcome is a solution people genuinely support, built on stronger relationships.

What Guides the Work

Principles behind every session

⚖️

Strict Neutrality

I don't take sides, offer legal advice, or push toward a predetermined outcome. My job is the process, not the verdict.

🔒

Confidentiality

What's said in mediation stays in mediation. That confidentiality is what makes honest conversation possible.

🎯

Practical Outcomes

Every session is aimed at a concrete, workable agreement — not just a good conversation that goes nowhere.
